Urban Mind is an app that was created to invite the public into a research that helps understand how city living is affecting mental wellbeing.
A collaboration between a collaboration between King’s College London, J&L Gibbons, Nomad, A&E, Van Alen Institute and Sustainable Society Network+, Urban Mind is an app that “measures your experience of city living in the moment”. By collecting real-time data, it is possible for the researchers to understand how different aspects of the urban environment affect mental wellbeing. “We hope that the results will inform future urban planning and social policy aimed at improving design & health”, they say.
