The office space of Monforte is a hub of interactions among its people. More about the overall space design here.
To achieve the vision for Monforte’s offices, the overall space design is complemented by the custom design of two interior systems, used to expand the space, accommodating for more or less people and different activities. The Cucina Operativa, presented below is one, and the Panels kit is another.
To create a truly great collaborative work environment, it is a must to create a space that fosters interactions, a sense of belonging & a true sense of community. Cucina Operativa is a new concept for a dynamic communal lunch table, that includes not only eating but also preparing the food and cooking it as a communal activity. In its closed position, Cucina Operativa is a large table ideal for a group of people to gather, meet, eat…etc.

In its closed position, Cucina Operativa is a large table ideal for a group of people to gather, meet, eat…etc. When open, Cucina Operativa features two large induction plates, making it the heart of a very italian experience: collective cooking, eating, chatting all become part of the same shared experience in one common space. With its central space for growing herbs, and its benches around both parts of the table, Cucina Operativa is the indispensable piece in a great collaborative working environment.
The table is made of a strong steel frame and reclaimed wood. The two tables are organised like layers, one on top of the other and joined by a central pole. The bottom table, featuring the induction plates for cooking, has two benches attached on either side. In addition, there are two benches aligned to the fixed top table.
The mechanism of opening the table is a simple rotation of the bottom table with its attached benches. They rotate under the top table and above the other fixed benches.
When closed, the table can comfortably sit up to 16 people. When open, it can cater for 24 people, ideal for Monforte’s team, clients, collaborators and visitors to share this communal experience together.
